God has created something truly wonderful and He is ultimately the cure for what ails us. …..”And Jesus was going about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people.” Matthew 4:23

Get your Cajun deep fried turkey reservations turned in now! On November 23rd, 2010, the “Smokin’ For Jim” crew will be hosting a Cajun turkey fry for Jim to raise donations and help the Hardzog family. Enjoy a traditional Cajun Fried Turkey for Thanksgiving, or any special occasions.

We start with a premium 10-12 pound turkey and we inject each turkey with our secret special Cajun marinade, then we hand rub them with our own blend of Cajun seasonings. After marinating, we then deep-fry each turkey in peanut oil until golden brown. This traditional Cajun process keeps all the juices sealed in creating the tastiest, juiciest turkey you have ever had! Just reheat (Click to See Instructions) and enjoy!

Turkey’s cost only $50. Feel free to reserve your turkey by following the link below or should you wish to order by phone or should you have any questions, contact David Peterson @ (832) 309-5806 or Charles Fontaine at (832) 969-6273. “Smokin’ for Jim” was a huge success!! We smoked 92 briskets and sold 84, plus 102 racks of ribs. All in all we smoked 1,500 pounds of meat. The brisket was delicious, but the best part was getting the “old gang” all together. Jim was able to spend a lot of time with us and told us he thought it was the best bbq he has ever had. The ribs just melted in your mouth.

The extra briskets were donated to a mission called Casa Juan Diego. Their calling is hospitality and they house and feed the homeless. They focus on the human person made in the image and likeness of God. It is related to the implementation of Matthew 25, “What you did for the least of the brethren you did for me.” Each person is to be received as Jesus. The guest is Christ. A quote from their site states it this way. We must “give reason for the faith that is in us.” Otherwise we are scattered members of the Body of Christ, we are not “all members one of another.” Otherwise our religion is an opiate, for ourselves alone, for our comfort or for our individual safety or indifferent custom. Charles said that they were extremely grateful for the donation.

Thank you also to everyone who purchased briskets and ribs. It amazes us how generous all of our friends are. We have been truly blessed by all of you.

A Message from Jim:

“I will say that this entire experience has blessed me profoundly. To me, it seems that 99% of each moment is consumed with ordinary day-to-day living. This time has given me a chance to reflect on things that matter most. That is why I hold each of you in such appreciation. The amount of time, work, financial assistance, and prayers devoted to my family shows the true heart you have. Thank you so much. ”

God Bless,
Jim
